The information pillar at the Peekskill Station had tiles showing some of the city's past manufacturing history and other faces used as bulletin boards for events notices.
The station itself was lovely. there's a large waiting area and ticket booth on the left side of the building, and a small cozy bar at the right end.
Looking towards the Metro North tracks. The NYC bound trains run right along the Hudson and offer wonderful river views until you get around the Spuyten Duyvil area of Riverdale. Peekskill is approx. 40 miles from Grand Central Station and it takes about one hour to get to NYC by train.
